Standaard staat de code op 0000. Instellen van uw eigen code gaat makkelijk: stel de coe in op 0000, druk de ontgrendelknop in, en tegelijk druk de staalkabel in het slot. stel nu uw eigen code in en trek daarna de staalkabel weer uit het slot. Uw eigen code is nu ingesteld.
om het slot in een USB-aansluiting te steken, stel uw eigen code in en druk op de ontgrendelknop. druk dan het slot stevig in de USB-poort en laat de knop los. controleer altijd of de kabel stevig in de USB-poort vergrendeld zit. Verdraai de code om het slot te sluiten.
Om los te halen, stel de juiste code in en druk op de ontgrendelknop. duw daarbij het slot iets in de usb-poort om het slot veilig te ontgrendelen. trek dan rustig het slot uit de USB-poort.
Dit slot is geen garantie tegen diefstal, maar vooral om diefstal lastig te maken. Met kracht zou het slot losgetrokken kunnen worden, alleen niet zonder schade aan de behuizing en/of usb-poort te veroorzaken.
